The aim of the Advanced Placement Political Science program is to provide students who are interested in post secondary social sciences the opportunity to study policy theory and our major political institutions in depth. This course will also focus on such concepts as political socialization, the influence of political parities, and the role of the United States in the international community. Students who elect this course perform at college level competencies and are required to take the Advanced Placement US government and Politics Examination.
Since the course will also focus on the modern application of government and citizenship, students who choose to complete the required hour of community service within this course will be allowed to complete the requirement for Civil Responsibility through the successful completion of this course.
